The Soldier Field run returned this year on Saturday, May 28. Members of the Woman’s Board and Junior Board volunteered at the finish line handing out waters and medals to finishers. This race benefitted Rush’s very own Road Home Program. We were honored to be able to help out for this race that is for such a good cause. It was a great day of service!
Road Home Program Information
One in three veterans returning home suffer from the “invisible wounds of war,” including PTSD, traumatic brain injury and related mental health conditions associated with their military service. The Road Home Program: The National Center of Excellence for Veterans and Their Families at Rush connects veterans and their families with the specialized mental health care, peer-to-peer outreach, counseling and resources they need to transition from military to civilian life — regardless of their ability to pay.
